Mark B. Baughman, 49, of 484 W. Third St., died Saturday, Nov. 29, 2003, at home, following a brief illness.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday in Regina Caeli Chapel at Mount Calvary Cemetery, where friends may call after 12:30 p.m. Saturday. Burial will be in Mount Calvary Cemetery. The Hoffmann-Schneider Funeral Home, 1640 Main St., is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Baughman worked for Reilly Construction, Ossian, Iowa.

He was born on July 12, 1954, in Long Beach, Calif., oldest son of Dr. Donald R. and Joan (Rohowetz) Baughman.

He attended Champion Jesuit High School in Prairie du Chien, Wis., and graduated from the University of Iowa, Iowa City, in 1977, with a bachelor of science degree in psychology.

He was an outdoorsman. He loved to hunt and fish with family and friends. He also was interested in literature, music and travel.

Surviving are his parents, Dr. Donald R. and Joan Baughman, of Kerrville, Texas, formerly of Dubuque, and Hazel Green, Wis.; three brothers, Grant (Patty) Baughman, of Neenah, Wis., Scott (Lorraine) Baughman, of Madison, Wis., and Dirk (Julie) Baughman, of Davenport, Iowa; two sisters, Joan (William) Primasing, of Dubuque, and Jane (David) Dubay, of Grand Forks, N.D.; and eight nieces and nephews.
