BERNARD, Iowa - Robert R. "Bob" Link, 50, of 13989 Higgins-port Road, Bernard, died Sunday evening, Nov. 30, 2003, as the result of injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident in Weirsdale, Fla., with his fiancee, Rita Ambrosy.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Key West, with Rev. Donald Bakewell officiating. Burial will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Key West. Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Friday at Leonard Funeral Home and Crematory, 2595 Rockdale Road, Dubuque, where there will be a wake service at 2 p.m.

He was born on Oct. 2, 1953, in Bernard, son of Lavern and Dorothy (Wilwert) Link.

Mr. Link owned and operated Link Hydraulic in Dubuque. He loved his work and was ready to take on new challenges. He was always ready to help anyone, no matter what the job was.

He had a passion for riding his Harley-Davidson motorcycle and traveled all over the country on many trips with Rita.

Surviving are his parents, Lavern and Dorothy Link, of Key West; two brothers, David (Joyce) Link, of Springtown, Texas, and Kenneth (Debra) Link, of Bernard; two sisters, Leann Link, of Key West, and Linda (Tom) Bergfeld, of Zwingle; 11 nieces and nephews; and four great-nieces and nephews.

Bob died doing what he loved, riding his motorcycle with the woman he loved.
