Margaret S. Klauer, 88, of Heritage Manor, formerly of 2395 Radford Road, died at 7:50 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 29, 2003, at Heritage Manor.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Patrick's Catholic Church. Burial will be in Mount Calvary Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at Behr Funeral Home, 1491 Main St., where there will be a wake service at 4 p.m.

Mrs. Klauer was a homemaker. She also worked at St. Patrick's in the school lunch program for many years.

She was born on Dec. 10, 1914, in Dubuque, daughter of Peter and Winifred (Dersch) Welu. She married C. Melvin Klauer on Aug. 5, 1944, in Dubuque; he died on Jan. 7, 1978.

Surviving are two daughters, Kay Brimeyer and Bette (Ed) Brown, both of Dubuque; a son, Kenneth (Coleen) Klauer, of Dubuque; 12 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; and a sister, Elizabeth Keenan, of East Dubuque, Ill.

She also was preceded in death by a son, Melvin A. Klauer; two brothers, Arthur and Peter; and three sisters, Dorothy, Madeline and Katherine.
