Harvey J. Busch, 75, of 2433 Broadway St., died Thursday, Nov. 27, 2003, at home, following a lengthy illness.

Services will be at 3 p.m. Sunday at St. Luke's United Methodist Church. Burial will be in Linwood Cemetery, where military rites will be accorded by the American Legion, Dubuque Post 6. Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. today at Egelhof, Siegert & Casper Westview Funeral Home, 2659 Kennedy Road. Friends also may call after 2 p.m. Sunday at the church.

Mr. Busch spent his entire life farming in the St. Donatus (Iowa) area.

He was born on Aug. 7, 1928, in Dubuque, son of John and Frieda (Lubs) Busch. He married Janet Kingery Justice on Dec. 4, 1971.

He served with the 5th Calvary Regiment of the Army during the Korean Conflict, and was awarded the Bronze Star twice.

Cards, hunting and baseball games were his favorite pastimes. He was a member of the American Legion, Dubuque Post 6 for 49 years.

Surviving are his wife, Janet, of Dubuque; two stepchildren, Jeffery (Lynn) Justice, of Combined Locks, Wis., and Julie (Jim) Gross, of Dubuque; a daughter, Jodi (Tom) Johnson, of Dubuque; 10 grandchildren, Jordan, Taylor and Megan Justice, Gavin, Garrett, Gregory and Gwendolyn Gross and Josh, Morgan and Lydia Johnson; three brothers, Carlton (Shirley) Busch, of La Motte, Iowa, Norman (Mary) Busch, of Knoxville, Tenn., and Eldon (Donna) Busch, of Bellevue, Iowa; and a brother-in-law, Marvin Kingery, of Des Moines.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Roger, in 1953.

Memorials may be given to St. Luke's United Methodist Church.
