Mildred L. Bauck, 91, of the Lancaster (Wis.) Care Center, formerly of 14981/2 Washington St., Dubuque, died at 8:05 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 18, 2003, at Grant Regional Health Center, Lancaster.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the Lancaster Care Center Chapel, 1350 S. Madison St., where friends may call after 9 a.m. Friday. Burial will be in the Cassville (Wis.) Cemetery. The Behr Funeral Home, 1491 Main St., Dubuque, is in charge of arrangements.

She was formerly employed as a cook at Diamonds Cafeteria, Kretz' Cafeteria and Marion's Cafe.

She was born on Nov. 16, 1912, in Turkey River, Iowa, daughter of George and Isa (Bolsinger) Pape.

She had been a resident of Lancaster since 1986. She had been a die-hard, loyal fan of the Chicago Cubs since 1929.

Surviving are a daughter, Barbara A. Joseph, of Ripley, Tenn.; a granddaughter, Melanie S. (Charles) Henderson, of Brighton, Tenn.; a grandson, David J. (Karitha) Kane, of Racine, Wis.; and four great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Georgette Kasper.

Memorials may be given to the Lancaster Care Center, 1350 S. Madison St., Lancaster, Wis. 53813.
