John T. Kubesheski, Sr.

John T. Kubesheski, Sr., 74, of 229 North Booth Street, died at 3:50 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 13, 2003, at home.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church, with the Rev. Lyle Wilgenbusch officiating. Burial will be in Mount Calvary Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 6 p.m. today at Leonard Funeral Home & Crematory, 2595 Rockdale Road, where there will be a parish wake service at 5 p.m.

Mr. Kubesheski worked for John Deere for 32 years and retired in 1992.

He was born on May 27, 1929, in Oshkosh, Wis., son of Frank and Margaret (Hutchinson) Kubesheski. He married Lenore K. Berger on July 1, 1950, at St. Columbkille's Catholic Church, Dubuque.

He was a member of the Dubuque Barber Shop Choir. He was an avid bowler and golfer and loved to make people laugh.

Surviving are his wife, Lenore; three sons John (Rose) Kubesheski, Jr., of Dubuque, James (Barbara) Kubesheski, of Lake Geneva, Wis. and Joseph (Cindy) Kubesheski, of Dubuque; four grandchildren, Andria, Wesley, Michael and Julie; two sisters Jean (Eldon) Konzen, of Dubuque and Mary Kay (Gene) Meis, of Colesburg, Wis; and a brother, Robert (Beverly) Kubesheski, of Dubuque.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother in infancy.
