Annette M. Maus, 88, of Luther Manor, formerly of 1075 Tressa, died Friday, Nov. 14, 2003, at Luther Manor.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Columbkille's Catholic Church, with burial in Mount Calvary Cemetery. Friends may call from 3 to 6 p.m. today at Siegert-Casper Colonial Funeral Home, 390 North Grandview Avenue, where there will be a wake service at 3 p.m.

She was born on June 18, 1915, in Dubuque, daughter of Frank and Nettie (Knopp) Otto. She married Alvin Maus on Aug. 24, 1936; he preceded her in death on May 27, 1986.

Mrs. Maus graduated from Immaculate Conception Academy. She was a homemaker for most of her life and worked at Montgomery Wards for 16 years.

She was a member of St. Columbkille's Catholic Church and its Rosary Society. She was also a member of Frances of Rome Mothers Club, Legion of Mary and Dubuque County Right to Life.

Surviving are her children, Connie (Elmer) Harter, of Dubuque, Gary (Christa) Maus, of Albuquerque, N.M., Ron (Hope) Maus and Rick (Ginny) Maus, both of Omaha, Neb.; 10 grandchildren, Angie (Mike Boever) Harter, Julie (Rick) Schmitt, Jeff Harter, Heidi (Terry) Peterson, Michelle, Tony, Tina, Kim, Kevin (Jane) and Michael Maus; and three great-grandchildren, Tyler and Logan Schmitt and Noel Maus.

She was preceded in death by two sisters, Marie Mayerle and Frances Otto.

An Annette Maus Memorial Fund has been established.

The family would like to thank the staff at Luther Manor and Hospice of Dubuque for all of their loving care.
