Audrey I. Niday, 78, of 1675 Loras Blvd., died Wednesday, Nov. 12, 2003, at The Finley Hospital, Dubuque.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Patrick's Catholic Church. Burial will be in Mount Calvary Cemetery. Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. today at Egelhof, Siegert & Casper Westview Funeral Home, 2659 Kennedy Road, where there will be a parish scripture wake service at 3 p.m.

She was born on Sept. 7, 1925, in Shullsburg, Wis., daughter of William and Mary (Teasdale) Wells.

She married Eugene Niday on Oct. 27, 1945, at St. Raphael's Cathedral, Dubuque; he passed away on Feb. 18, 1993.

Audrey enjoyed plays and musicals. She had been a longtime member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church.

Surviving are three brothers, William A. (Shirley) Wells, of Lake Helen, Fla., and Joseph D. (Camilla) Wells and Robert A. (Nancy) Wells, both of Dubuque; an aunt, Margaret Thomas, of Darlington, Wis.; two sisters-in-law, Twila Horn, of Bradenton, Fla., and Betty Patrum, of Planet City, Fla.; a brother-in-law, Frank (Lila) Niday, of Dyersville, Iowa; many nieces, nephews, great-nephews and niece; and special friends, Rick and Bev Clapham and family.

She also was preceded in death by her parents.

In lieu of flowers, an Audrey I. Niday Memorial Fund has been established.
