Robert L. Gulick, 79, of Phoenix, Ariz., formerly of Dubuque, beloved husband, father and grandpa, passed away Sunday, Oct. 26, 2003.

Services were held Oct. 30 in Glendale, Ariz. Burial was in Holy Cross Cemetery. The Chapel of the Chimes Mortuary, Glendale, was in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Gulick proudly served his country as a sergeant in the Marine Corps. He was a proud member of the Ira Hayes-Marine Corps League.

He had been a resident of Phoenix for the past 38 years. Before moving his family to Arizona, he worked at the Telegraph Herald, Dubuque. He also served as a police officer in the Dubuque community.

Surviving are his beloved wife of 50 years, Elaine Gulick; two daughters, Valerie Wielgus, of Peoria, Ariz., and Sara Hengsteler, of Buckeye, Ariz; a son, Paul Gulick, of Phoenix; 11 grandchildren; and a sister, Diane Kennedy, of Potosi, Wis.

He was preceded in death by four brothers and a sister.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Parkinson's Disease Association, 222 W. Thomas Road, Suite 203, Phoenix, Ariz., 85013.
