POTOSI, Wis. - John J. Reinecke, 58, of West Allis, formerly of Potosi, died Tuesday, Nov. 4, 2003, at home.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Thomas Catholic Church, Potosi, with the Rev. Richard Leffler officiating. Burial will be in St. Thomas Cemetery, Potosi. Friends may call from 4 to 7:30 p.m. today at Martin Page Funeral Home, Potosi, where there will be a parish scripture service at 4:15 p.m. Friends also may call after 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

Mr. Reinecke worked for the Veterans Administration in Milwaukee for 27 years.

He was born on Jan. 7, 1945, in Dubuque, son of Karl J. and Evelyn (Hinsenbrock) Reinecke.

He served in the Navy in the late 1960s, and was stationed in Monterey, Calif.

Surviving are his mother, Evelyn Reinecke, of Potosi; two sisters, Dee (Jerry) Bauman, of Wauwatosa, and Kathy (Don) David, of Potosi; six nieces and nephews, Mark (Alison) Bauman, of Evanston, Ill., John David, of Sells, Ariz., Jennifer (Shane) Whitty and Jeff David, both of Potosi, and Tom David and Anne David, both of Madison; and a great-niece, Eve Whitty.

He was preceded in death by his father, Karl Reinecke, in 1994, and a nephew, Brian David, in 1979.
