Nicholas Streff died at the age of 76 years on Monday, February 28th after an operation. Mr. Streff was born in Tete des Mortes, Jackson county, Iowa. He was married to Susan Tritz at Tete des Mortes and not long ago removed to Dubuque. His wife and the following children survive him: Sister M. Merita of the Notre Dame order and Sisters M. Eugenia and Clementia of the Precious Blood order, Mrs. Gertrude Lange of Dubuque, Clement and Otto of Porter, Minnesota and Charles of Hastings, Nebraska.

The funeral was held March 3rd at Holy Trinity church, Dubuque. Mr. Streff's nephews, Rev. Joseph Tritz and Rev. Joseph Fisch conducted the solemn requiem high mass celebrated on that occasion. All the surviving children were at the funeral.
