RICKARDSVILLE, Iowa - Mrs. Marina P. Feldman, 72, of 19873 Highway 52 North, Rickardsville, died at 9:45 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 2, 2003, at The Finley Hospital, Dubuque, following a short battle with cancer.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Rickardsville, with burial in the church cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. today at Dennis Kitchen Funeral Home, 3860 Asbury Road, where there will be a wake service at 3 p.m.

Mrs. Feldman worked as a nurse for 33 years at the former Xavier Hospital, The Finley Hospital and Luther Manor Nursing Home.

She was born on Jan. 16, 1931, in Rickardsville, daughter of Lawrence and Clara (Stoffel) Klein. She married Eldon Feldman on April 15, 1952, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Rickardsville.

Marina graduated from the former Visitation Academy in Dubuque, and Mercedian School of Nursing in Marshalltown.

She was a lifetime member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Rickardsville.

Marina was a proud, loving mother and grandmother and was a wonderful caretaker to many over the years.

Surviving are her husband, Eldon Feldman, of Rickardsville; five sons, Tom and Kevin "Ike" Feldman, both of Dubuque, Mark (Mary) Feldman, of Welton, Bruce (Sarah) Feldman, of Dyersville, and Brian (Connie) Feldman, of Sherrill; a brother, LaVerne (Ileen) Klein, of Dubuque; a sister, Joanne (Willie) Luken, of Durango; 12 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a granddaughter, Michelle Feldman; a brother, Donald Klein; a sister, Rita Barton; and a daughter-in-law, Kathy Feldman.

A Marina P. Feldman Memorial Fund has been established by the family.

The family would like to express sincere thanks to the nursing staff at The Finley Hospital for the excellent care extended to Marina.
