Lois V. Ramm, 81, who resided at the home of her brother, Gerald Henkel, of 14094 Constance Court, died Sunday, Oct. 26, 2003, at home.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Resurrection Catholic Church, where friends may call after 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday. Burial will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Waterloo, Iowa. The Egelhof, Siegert & Casper Westview Funeral Home, 2659 Kennedy Road, is in charge of arrangements.
She was born on July 27, 1922, in Dubuque, daughter of John G. and Alma (Lippe) Henkel. She married Louis F. Ramm on April 10, 1950, in Jesup, Iowa; he preceded her in death on June 18, 1986.
Lois lived in Waterloo for more than 30 years. She then lived in Santa Paula, Calif., for 10 years. She then returned to Dubuque.
She was an avid bingo and card player. She was well known for ceramics. Lois loved to travel and was a "shopaholic."
Surviving are three brothers, Paul J. Henkel, of East Dubuque, Ill., John R. (Beverly) Henkel, of Davenport, Iowa, Gerald E. Henkel, of Dubuque; her special friend, Richard "Smoke" White, of Waterloo, Iowa; and many nieces and nephews.
She also was preceded in death by her parents.
