Mary C. Wellendorf, 70, of Mundelein, Ill., formerly of Dubuque, died Sunday, Oct. 12, 2003, at home.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, with burial in Ascension Cemetery, both in Libertyville, Ill. Friends may call from 4 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Kristan Funeral Home P.C., 219 W. Maple Ave., Mundelein. Prayers will begin at 9:30 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

She was born on Nov. 16, 1932, in Dubuque.

She volunteered her time at Safe Place. She was an avid writer and enjoyed crossword puzzles.

Surviving are her loving husband, Vincent; dear children, George (Lynn) Wellendorf, of Mundelein, and Kathleen (Michael) Quinn, of Libertyville; an adoring sister, Ronni (Jim) Westmark, of Dubuque; cherished grandchildren, Brianne, Travis, Colin, Adam, Brendan and Patrick; and many nieces, nephews and dear friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the American Cancer Society 100 Tri-State International 125 Lincolnshire, Ill. 60069.
