LA MOTTE, Iowa - MaryLou E. Flammang, 75, of 26938 Centerville Road, La Motte, died Friday, Sept. 19, 2003, at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, Iowa City.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the St. Donatus Catholic Church, with burial in the church cemetery. Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. today at Siegert-Didesch Colonial Funeral Home, 390 N. Grandview Ave., Dubuque, where there will be a parish scripture wake service at 3 p.m.

She was born on March 15, 1928, in Dubuque, daughter of Elmer and Frances (Martin) Goedert. She married James J. Flammang on Nov. 10, 1953, at St. Anthony''s Catholic Church, Dubuque; he preceded her in death on Nov. 10, 1986.

MaryLou enjoyed the farm life and spending time with her family, especially her youngest grandson, Brandon. She was an avid Bingo player and traveled to many casinos.

She was a longtime member of St. Donatus Catholic Church and its Rosary Society.

Surviving are three children, John (Barb) Flammang, of La Motte, Pam (Glenn) Holdgrafer, of Spragueville, and Mary (Eldon) Rennison, of Bellevue; nine grandchildren, Lisa (Nate) Blount, Amy (Chad) Sheredy, Tami Holdgrafer, Stephanie and Joshua Flammang, Brandon Rennison, Jennifer (Joshua) Krier and Adam and Gary Rennison; five great-grandchildren, Anabel Blount, Brooke Sheredy and Chance, Courtney and Carrie Krier; two brothers, Robert (Lolly) Goedert and Vincent (Betty) Goedert, both of Dubuque; a sister, Rita Davis, of Dubuque; five sisters-in-law, Alice Goedert and Bernice Breitfelder, both of Dubuque, Mary (Ray) Weber, of Bellevue, and Rosie Weber and Jean (Ed) Brosius, both of Dubuque; and a brother-in-law, Paul (AnnaMae) Flammang, of La Motte.

She also was preceded in death by her parents; an infant son, Michael; and a brother, Harold Goedert.

A MaryLou E. Flammang Memorial Fund has been established.

The family would like to thank the Bellevue Fire Department and Ambulance Service, the doctors and staff at The Finley Hospital, Dubuque, and the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, Iowa City, for all of their care.
