Timothy A. Shaffer, 42, of 928 Central Ave., died Thursday morning, Sept. 11, 2003, at home, of natural causes.

Private family committal services and burial will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Center Grove Cemetery. Private family visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday at Behr Funeral Home, 1491 Main St.

Mr. Shaffer worked at the former F.D.L. Foods, Inc., until they closed. He later worked at Miracle Car Wash.

He was born on Oct. 3, 1960, in Dubuque, son of John Paul and Suzanne K. (Urban) Shaffer.

He enjoyed working on cars.

Surviving are four sisters, Rochelle K. Beasley, of Apple River, Ill., and Peggy S. (Charles) Johnson, Wendy L. (Jim) McLaughlin and Pearl R. Shaffer, all of Dubuque; two brothers, Michael J. Shaffer, of Green Bay, Wis., and Randy L. Shaffer, of Dubuque; and aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

A Timothy A. Shaffer Memorial Fund has been established.
