Mrs. Harold E. (Jean A.) Schuster, 69, of 1723 Richie Drive, formerly of 380 Klingenburg Terrace, died at 11:24 p.m. Wednesday, July 30, 2003, at The Finley Hospital, Dubuque.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Burial will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Key West, Iowa. Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Behr Funeral Home, 1491 Main St., where there will be a parish wake service at 4:30 p.m.

She was born on Oct. 19, 1933, in Masonville, Iowa, daughter of Clement and Jane (Heffernan) Duffy. She married Harold E. Schuster on Sept. 10, 1955, at St. Raphael's Cathedral, Dubuque.

She was a full-time homemaker and a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.

Jean was a member of Sacred Heart Parish and ARK Advocates.

Surviving are her husband, Harold E. Schuster; a daughter, Rose A. Ruff (Craig Hartzell), of Dubuque; three sons, Thomas E. (Judith) Schuster and David G. Schuster, both of Dubuque, and John J. Schuster (Melanie Egge), of Hewitt, Texas; three grandchildren, Elizabeth and Emma Ruff and Sarah Burds; five sisters, Letiticia Hartman, of Strawberry Point, Iowa, Marjorie McMahon, Delores Morley and Marlene (Irv) Hubbard, all of Dubuque, and Donna (Don) Smock, of Dundee, Iowa; and a brother, Cecil (Marilyn) Duffy, of Dubuque.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Leo and Boniface Duffy; and a special niece, Kathy Duffy.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to ARC, 1170 Roosevelt Street Extension, Dubuque, Iowa 52001.
