Mrs. Gertrude M. Ihrcke, 96, of 2076 Lincoln Ave., died at 8 a.m. Thursday, July 24, 2003, at home.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Dennis Kitchen Funeral Home, 3860 Asbury Road, where friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. today. Burial will be in Linwood Cemetery.

She was the daughter of Joseph and Bertha (Kruse) Roseliep, and grew up in Dubuque. She married George A. Ihrcke on Oct. 2, 1928, at the Little Brown Church, Nashua, Iowa; he passed away on Nov. 29, 1974.

She was a homemaker all of her life. She was a member of The Finley Hospital Auxiliary, a 4-H leader and a lifetime member of St. John's Lutheran Church.

Surviving are a nephew, Fred (Orabelle) Kammiller, of Durango, Iowa; a niece, Joanne (David) Drake, of Pittsboro, N.C.; and several great-nieces and nephews.

She also was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Jane Ann Ihrcke, in 1938; and a sister, Marie Kammiller, in 1998.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to St. John's Lutheran Church.
