Catherine G. Folger, 85, of Stonehill Care Center, died at 4:35 a.m. Friday, July 25, 2003, at the care center.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday in Mueller Memorial Chapel at Linwood Cemetery. Burial will be in Linwood Cemetery. There will be no visitation. The Egelhof, Siegert & Casper Westview Funeral Home, 2659 Kennedy Road, is in charge of arrangements.

She was born on Sept. 20, 1917, in St. Joseph, Mo., daughter of Jesse N. and Grace A. Davis. She married Merlyn R. Folger on June 30, 1946, in Des Moines; he passed away in March 1994.

Surviving are her children, Ronald R. Folger, of Zwingle, Iowa, William L. (Patricia) Folger, of Dubuque, Patricia Harris, of Iowa City, and Judy Folger, of Las Vegas; and her grandchildren, Stephen (Tara) Harris, Amy Harris, Darcy Folger, Ben (Julie) Folger, Laura (Chad) Homewood, Chris Folger and Aaron Folger. Also surviving are five great-grandchildren; and a sister-in-law, Coy Davis, of Mesa, Ariz.

She also was preceded in death by a brother, Wayne Davis.
