Mrs. Harlyn (Colleen H.) Turner, 77, of 2395 Theda Drive, died Tuesday, July 22, 2003, at home.

Services will be at 11:30 a.m. today at Hoffmann-Schneider Funeral Home, 1640 Main St., where friends may call after 10 a.m. today. Burial will be in Linwood Cemetery.

Mrs. Turner worked at the former Dubuque Pack Co. in 1943. She was self-employed as an Avon representative for several years, baby-sat for several families and was a homemaker and loving wife.

She was born on March 3, 1926, in Cassville, Wis., daughter of James and Rose (Casper) Dolphin. She married Harlyn G. Turner on Jan. 20, 1944, at Langley Field, Virginia.

She enjoyed fishing and boating. She lived in many places during her husband's military career, including Alaska, when it was a territory of the United States.

Colleen was a member of the Non-commissioned Officers Wives Club.

Surviving are her husband, Harlyn; a son, Dennis D. (Ann) Turner, of Dubuque; a daughter, Sue Ann (Bill) Keck, of Dubuque; five grandchildren, Dave, Darryl and Donald Keck and Jody and Jason Turner; great-grandchildren, Heather and Tomi Turner, Brandon, Chandler and Xander Keck, Bryan and Ashlynn Keck, Summer Turner, Gavin Reiter and Felicia, Nichole and Kala; and a sister, Lucille Lau, of Cassville.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and three sisters, Luella Cody, Helen Biggins and Leona Heraty.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Hospice of Dubuque and the Dubuque Alzheimer's Association.
