Carl S. Gobb, 37, of Arden Hills, Minn., formerly of Dubuque, died Saturday, July 19, 2003, at St. John's Northeast Hospital, Maplewood, Minn.

Graveside services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday in Elmhurst Cemetery, St. Paul, Minn. Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Roseville Memorial Chapel, 2245 N. Hamline Ave., Roseville, Minn., where memories of Carl's life will be shared at 6 p.m.

He was a graduate of Partners in PolicyMaking. He was a board member and treasurer for the Metropolitan Center for Independent Living in St. Paul.

Surviving are his stepfather, Ronald McKinney; a stepbrother, Larry; Nancy and David Taggart; Helen "Ma" McClanahan; sisters and brothers-in-law, Mary and Lamar Cook, Mike and Jill McClanahan, Jason and Amber Kohn and Milton McClanahan; and nieces, nephews and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Ann McKinney, and his stepmother, Darlene McKinney.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given in Carl's name to the Metropolitan Center for Independent Living, c/o Nancy Taggart, 1600 University Ave., Suite 16, St. Paul, Minn. 55104.
