BELLEVUE, Iowa - Catherine A. Wagner, 95, of Mesa, Ariz., formerly of Bellevue, died peacefully Thursday, July 17, 2003, in Mesa.

Services will be held Aug. 9 at St. Timothy's Church, Mesa. The Meldrum Mortuary and Chapel is in charge of arrangements. Burial of the cremated remains will be in Bellevue at a later date.

Mrs. Wagner worked as personnel director at JC Penney in Dubuque, until her retirement in 1972.

She was born on Sept. 25, 1907, daughter of Mike and Carolyn (Lucke) Hipschen. She married Carl Wagner in Bellevue; he died in 1961.

Surviving are two sons, Edward (Kathleen) and Peter (Diane); 18 grandchildren; and 30 great-grandchildren.
