Gail Elaine (Arduser) Seipp Lock, 63, of 786 Stone Ridge Place, died Friday, July 18, 2003, at home.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Westminster Presbyterian Church. Burial will be in Linwood Cemetery. Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, and after 10 a.m. Thursday, at the church. The Siegert-Didesch Colonial Funeral Home, 390 N. Grandview Ave., is in charge of arrangements.

She was born on Oct. 20, 1939, in Dubuque, daughter of George H. and Marion H. (Zemanek) Arduser. She resided in Dubuque for most of her life.

She married Jan Vilas Seipp on June 7, 1959, at St. John's Episcopal Church, Dubuque; he died on Oct. 31, 1992. She later married David W. Lock on Aug. 7, 1998, in Blades Hall at the University of Dubuque.

She was a 43-year member of Westminster Presbyterian Church where she was a Deacon, Elder, Clerk of Session, church school teacher, youth leader, member of the church band and a 20-year member of the bell choir. She also served on other various church committees within the church family. She was a previous member of the American Red Cross Board of Directors, Hillcrest Family Services Board, Mount Pleasant Home Board of Directors, the Finley Hospital Sunshine Circle and PEO Chapter HL.

Surviving are three daughters, Shelley Elaine (Daniel) Oehrle, of West Chester, Ohio, Amy Elizabeth (Jeffrey) Schroeder, of Dubuque, and Melissa Anne (Michael Green) Seipp, of Minneapolis, Minn.; seven grandchildren, Katherine, Kevin, Kyle, Curtis, Anna, Sara and Sidney; two sisters, Janet (Tom) Schafer, of Doylestown, Pa., and their family, and Kathie Ann Arduser, of Dubuque; Jan's family, Rosanne and Melvin Tone and their family; an aunt, Marjorie J. Zemanek, of Bethany Home, Dubuque; a cousin, Alice L. Candler, of Bethany Home; and her former spouse, David W. Lock and his family.

She was preceded in death by a son, Stephen Allan Seipp.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Westminster Presbyterian Church, Hospice of Dubuque and a charity of your choice.

The family would like to thank Dr. Lally (Wendt Cancer Center), Dr. Zenk (oncology), Dr. Leeson and their staffs, Hospice of Dubuque, and Gail's many friends for the loving care she received during her illness.
