Mildred D. "Millie" Hingtgen Celsi, 74, of 2809 Ashworth Road, West Des Moines, Iowa, formerly of Dubuque, La Motte and Bellevue, Iowa, died Tuesday, July 15, 2003, at Kavanagh House, Des Moines, from non-Hodgkin's lymphoma.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, West Des Moines. Burial will be in Glendale Cemetery, Des Moines. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Westover Funeral Home, Des Moines, where there will be a rosary at 7 p.m.

Mrs. Celsi had been a school teacher and she was a co-owner of The Tavern Pizza restaurants.

She was born in Dubuque. She lived in the Dubuque, La Motte and Bellevue area for 44 years. She lived in West Des Moines for 30 years.

She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, the Sacred Heart Women's Guild, the Daughters of the American Revolution and the West Des Moines Women's Club.

She was a person who never saw a glass half empty. She was an inspiration to everyone around her. She was genuine, kind and always looking out for everyone else's happiness.

Surviving are her husband, Charles J. Celsi, of West Des Moines; three daughters, Linda (Jim) Sieverding, of Carlisle, Iowa, Cathy (Terry) Dickerson, of Waukee, Iowa, and Jeanne (Phil) Larson, of West Des Moines; two sons, Jay (Linda) Hingtgen, of Iowa City, and Bob (Mary) Hingtgen, of West Des Moines; a sister, Hazel Lemer, of La Motte; and grandchildren, Jason Hingtgen, David Hingtgen, Lisa Dickerson, Laura Dickerson, Kelly Hingtgen, Justin "J.J." Hingtgen, Katy Hingtgen, Thomas "T.J." Larson, James "Jimmy" Larson and Jeffrey Larson.

Memorials may be given to Sacred Heart Catholic Church and Kavanagh House.
