DUBUQUE, Iowa - Robert E. "Bob" Mueller, 89, died at 7:20 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 15, 2004, in Manor Care Health Service Center. Born July 4, 1915, in Dubuque, the son of Henry J. and Mildred Seaman Mueller. Bob married Dorothy Welsch Nov. 24, 1952, in Holy Family Church in Peosta.

He was co-owner of M.T.C. Appliance Co. before retiring. Member of St. Anthony Parish.

Survivors include his wife, Dorothy; sons, Robert J. "Bob" Jr. (Judy) Mueller of Dubuque, David (Betty) Mueller of Loves Park, Ill., and Tom (Julia) Mueller of Glendale, Ariz.; grandchildren, Randy (Connie) Mueller, Debbie (Chad) Nichols, Sue Clemen, Robert P. (Chris) Mueller, Todd (Cheri) Mueller, Scott (Deb) Mueller, Beth (Chris) Haber, Sara (Nick) Sirna and Megan Mueller and fiance, J.R. Giese; 19 great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild; and brother, Donald (Patricia) Mueller of Loves Park.

Service at 10 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 19, in St. Anthony Catholic Church, Dubuque. Burial in Mount Calvary Cemetery. Visitation from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 18, with wake service at 7:30, in Hoffmann-Schneider Funeral Home, 1640 Main St. Thank you to the nursing staff at Manor Care for their kind and loving care.
