Casey H. McCabe, 23, of 1743 Carriage Hill Court, died Saturday, July 12, 2003, as the result of injuries sustained in an automobile accident near Mason City, Iowa.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Columbkille's Catholic Church. Burial will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Key West, Iowa. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Siegert-Didesch Colonial Funeral Home, 390 N. Grandview Ave., where there will be the parish scripture wake service at 4 p.m.

Mr. McCabe worked as an investment specialist with American Trust and Savings Bank and was in the process of obtaining his CFA.

He was born on March 17, 1980, in Dubuque, son of William R. McCabe and Lisa M. (Helbing) Faley.

Casey graduated from Wahlert High School in 1998, and from the University of Northern Iowa, Cedar Falls, this year.

Casey enjoyed spending time with his sister, Katherine, and his many friends. He had a deep passion for staying physically fit and was enthusiastic about sports and the Green Bay Packers.

Surviving are his mother, Lisa (Joe) Faley, of Dubuque; his father, Bill (Pat) McCabe, of Howard, Ohio; a sister, Katherine McCabe, of Dubuque; three stepbrothers, Patrick Faley, of Rochester, Minn., Andrew Faley, of Chicago, and Shawn (Hanna) Faley, of Louisville, Ky.; a stepsister, Stacey (Jim) Vize, of Dubuque; maternal grandparents, Joan (Dale) Helbing, of Dickeyville, Wis.; paternal grandmother, Jane McCabe, of Cuba City, Wis.; step maternal grandmother, Bernice Faley, of Dubuque; step paternal grandmother, Laila Harshbarger, of Howard; and a special friend, Ann Bakewell, of Ossian, Iowa.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Roy McCabe.

A Casey H. McCabe Memorial Fund has been established.
