Deceased Name: MARCELLA C. DIETZEL

Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Holy Ghost Catholic Church, Dickeyville, with Rev. Francis Steffen officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call from 3 to 9 p.m. today at the Casey Funeral Home, Cuba City, where there will be a parish rosary at 3 p.m.

She was born on Oct. 7, 1921, in Kieler, daughter of August and Josephine (Welter) Digman. She married Bernard Dietzel on May 21, 1946, in Kieler; he died in April 1985.

Mom had a lifetime devotion to God and the Virgin Mary. She deeply loved her husband, Benny, her children, grandchildren and twin great-grandchildren. Dad and she sacrificed greatly for Catholic education and experience in their children and grandchildren, its true rewards. We have been exceedingly blessed and our gratitude can only be shown by carrying on the faith and their examples to our families.

She was a member of the Holy Ghost Christian Mothers.

Surviving are two daughters, Darlene (Harry) Schieltz, of Holy Cross, Iowa, and Mary Jean (Chris) Schmitz, of Rochester, Minn; five sons, Kenny (Susie) Dietzel, of Cuba City, Mark (Jane) Dietzel, of Dickeyville, Merlin (Mary Ellen) and John (Barb) Dietzel, both of Dubuque, and Dennis (Lois) Dietzel, of Dickeyville; two sisters, Harriet (Harold) Lindner, of Cashton, and Evelyn (Johnny) Lange, of Platteville; a brother, Edwin (Bernita) Digman, of Hazel Green; four sisters-in-law, Marie Dietzel and Ann Dietzel and Leona Digman and Angie Digman; a brother-in-law, Ambrose Dietzel; 17 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

She also was preceded in death by a brother, LaVern Digman.
