Deceased Name: Arnold E. Dietzel

CUBA CITY, Wis. - Arnold E. Dietzel, 75, of Cuba City, passed away on Wednesday, Oct. 19, 2005, at home, surrounded by his family and loved ones.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, Cuba City, with the Rev. David Flanagan officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. Friday at Casey Funeral Home, Cuba City, where there will be a parish prayer service at 3 p.m.

He was born on June 23, 1930, in Dickeyville, son of Leonard and Regina (Ames) Dietzel.

He married Marie R. Deutsch on Dec. 29, 1955. Arnold and his wife raised their family and farmed on Clay Hollow Road in southwest Wisconsin. Upon retirement, Arnold and Marie built a new home in Cuba City.

Arnold worked numerous part-time jobs and enjoyed spending time with his children, grandchildren and great-grandchild. His most precious times were spent up north enjoying the outdoors and fishing with his family on vacation.

Surviving are his wife, Marie, of Cuba City; six children, Tim and Terri (Werimont) Dietzel, of Park Falls, Suzanne and Rodney Wilson, of LaValle, Pamela and Randy Timmerman, of Hazel Green, Randy and Amy (Smith) Dietzel, of Sturgeon Bay, Terry and Jodi (Timmerman) Dietzel, of Oakfield, and Sara and William Lolwing, of Lancaster; 14 grandchildren and a great-granddaughter; two sisters, Rosella Casper, of Cuba City, and Margaret Bies, of Bellevue, Iowa; and two brothers, Joseph Dietzel and Edmund (Malinda) Dietzel, both of Dickeyville.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Leonard and Regina Dietzel; a sister, Hildagarde Monner; a sister-in-law, Rosemarie Dietzel; and three brothers-in-law, Cyril Monner, John Casper and Melvin Bies.

All memorials will be donated to local charities.

Arnold and his family would like to say a thank-you to the doctors and staff at Dubuque Internal Medicine and The Finley Hospital for their care throughout this difficult time. The family would also like to say a special thank-you to Hospice Care of Grant County.
