Deceased Name: Orvelyn M. Brimeyer
HOLY CROSS, Iowa -Orvelyn M. Brimeyer, 85, of Holy Cross, Iowa, died at 5:05 p.m. Monday, December 12, 2005, at Stonehill Care Center, Dubuque, Iowa.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the Holy Cross Catholic Church, Holy Cross, Iowa, with the Rev. Paul Baldwin officiating. Burial will be in the Holy Cross Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. today at Reiff Funeral Home, Dyersville, Iowa, where there will be a wake service at 5 p.m. Friends also may call after 9:30 a.m. Friday.

Orvelyn was born on January 11, 1920, in Bankston, daughter of Louis and Margaret (Wolf) Link. She was a graduate of the former St. Clement's High School in Bankston, Iowa.

On January 15, 1946, she was united in marriage to Carl H. Brimeyer at St. Clement's Catholic Church in Bankston, Iowa.

She was a member of the Holy Cross Parish and its Rosary Society.

She is survived by seven children, Larry (Becki) Brimeyer, of Mechanicsville, Iowa, Jack (Liz) Brimeyer, of Metamora, Illinois, Jerry (Patt) Brimeyer, of Urbandale, Iowa, Ron (Leslie) Brimeyer, of Roswell, Georgia, Connie (Wayne) Vaske, of Luxemburg, Iowa, David (Judy) Brimeyer, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and Diane (Ronnie) Ungs, of Dyersville, Iowa; 15 grandchildren and five step-grandchildren; a brother, Lawrence (Norma) Link, of Dyersville; and three sisters-in-law, Arlene Link and Grace Link, both of Dyersville, Iowa, and Nancy Dolphin, of Farley, Iowa.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Carl H. Brimeyer, on December 31, 1985; three brothers, Elmer, Gilbert and Joe; two grandchildren, Joshua and Anna Brimeyer; and a daughter-in-law, Lin Brimeyer.

Memorials for Orvelyn M. Brimeyer may be given to Stonehill Care Center, Dubuque, Iowa.

The family wishes to give special thanks to the staff of Stonehill Care Center and Dr. Paulson for all the wonderful care given to Mom.
