A PIONEER DEAD

MRS. JOSEPH COOK, OF COTTAGE HILL, HAD LIED HERE FOR FIFTY YEARS.

Emma, wife of Mr. Joseph Cook, of Cottage Hill, died Friday morning at 14:30 o'clock, aged 66 years.

In the death of Mrs. Cook, Dubuque county loses another of its early settlers, she having been a resident here for fifty years. She was a devoted wife, a kind and considerate mother and a woman who beloved by all who knew her.

She is survived by her husband and four children, Frazer, Ellen, John of Farley, Walter of Cottage Hill.

The funeral will be held Sunday morning at 10 o'clock from the family residence at Cottage Hill.
