FARLEY PIONEER DIES AT RIPE AGE

Joseph Cook, Respected Citizen, Passes Away at the Age of 86 Years

Cottage Hill, IA. Jan 14 -- Special: Joseph Cook, a hightly respected resident of this place, died at his home this morning. Mr. Cook has been in poor health for some time. He was 86 years old.

Mr. Cook came to this place in 1836, settling on the farm that he has made his home on ever since. He is survived by three brothers and one sister as follows: Walter, of Forest Lake, IA.; Robert of Mora, Mont.; Thomas of Surges, South Dakota, and Mrs. Elizabeth Fenick of the same place. He had four children who survive him: T.F. Cook of this place; Mrs. G. A. Ridler and W.C.Cook of Pulaski, IA. and J. B Cook, who is postmaster at Farley, IA.

The funeral will be held Monday at 10 o'clock. Deceased has been a farmer for many years, highly respected and a valuable citizen
