Mrs. Amelia Born is Summoned by Death

Death claimed Mrs. Amelia Caroline M. Born yesterday evening at 8 o'clock at the family home, 280 Louisa Street. She had been ill for the past two years.

She was born in Prussia, Nov. 20, seventy one years ago, and came to this country with her parents, Louis and Caroline Schulz, when a child. They settled in Galena, Ill., where they resided only a short time before coming to Dubuque county, making Cottage Hill their home. Mrs. Born was married to William Nicholson in 1867. He died in 1873 and in 1874 she wedded Baltzer Born, who preceded her in death eighteen years ago.

She leaves to mourn her loss three daughters, Mrs. Mary E. Bruechert of Omaha, Mrs. Effie E. Brescia of Stockton, Cal., Margaret Born of this city; three sons, P.W. Nicholson of Sacramento, Cal., Charles H. Born of Stockton, Cal., and Henry G. Born of Dubuque, and six grandchildren.

The funeral services will be held in Walton's chapel, Tuesday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock. interment will be made in Linwood cemetery.
