Baltzer Born, who settled here in 1844, passed away at his home in Center Grove.

Baltzer Born, residing at Center Grove, died Wednesday afternoon at 1 o'clock, aged 78 years. He had been in poor health for several years. He was born Auguat 14, 1824, at Baden, Germany, and came to America in 1834. He settled in Dubuque county in 1844 and had been a continuous resident til his death. He lived in Sherrill's Mound for many years, but for the past ten years has resided where he died. He is survived by his wife, six sons and three daughters and two sisters in Omaha. The funeral will be held tomorrow afternoon to Linwood.
