Bernice A. Kaune, 77, of Mission, Texas, formerly of Dubuque, died Saturday, Jan. 5, 2002, at Briacliff Nursing Home, McAllen, Texas.

Private family visitation will be held Friday. Burial will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in Dubuque Memorial Gardens, south of Dubuque.

Surviving are her husband, Daniel Kaune, of Mission; her sons, Robert W. (Judy) Kaune, of Monticello, Iowa, and Terry L. (Mary Ann) Kaune, of Dubuque; her daughters, Bernice (Robert) Jurgensen, of Sumner, Iowa, and Sandra J. Brumett, of Dubuque; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
