ASBURY, Iowa - Mrs. Kenneth G. (Sandra M.) Gaber, 58, of 2730 Autumn Drive, Asbury, died at 5:55 p.m. Saturday, May 24, 2003, at the Rochester (Minn.) Methodist Hospital.

Services will be at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday in Roselawn Chapel at Dennis Kitchen Funeral Home, 3860 Asbury Road, where friends may call after 2 p.m. Wednesday.

Mrs. Gaber formerly worked at Sears for 15 years, retiring as a department manager. She currently was serving as office manager for the Dubuque Thunderbirds Hockey Team and previously had served in the same capacity for the Fighting Saints from 1985 to 1995.

She was born on July 9, 1944, in Guttenberg, daughter of Leon and Verna (Hefel) Habel. She attended and graduated from Dubuque Senior High School in 1962.

She married Kenneth G. "Kenny" Gaber on Nov. 27, 1965, at Holy Ghost Catholic Church.

Surviving are her husband, Kenneth G. "Kenny" Gaber; two sons, Jeff (Gloria) Gaber, of Dubuque, and Torey Gaber, of Zimmerman, Minn.; four grandchildren, Kayla, Sarah, Brandon and Devon Gaber; and a brother, Tim (Diane) Habel, of Dubuque.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

A Sandra M. Gaber Memorial Fund has been established by her family.
