EAST DUBUQUE, IL. -- Kathleen M. "Kay" (Everett) Cole, 75, of Sunnycrest Manor, Dubuque, formerly of East Dubuque, died at 4:35 a.m. Monday, June 8, 1998, at Sunnycrest.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Mary's Catholic church, East Dubuque, with burial in the East Dubuque Cemetery.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Miller Funeral home, East Dubuque, where there will be a parish scripture service at 4:15 p.m.

Mrs. Cole was formerly employed at Mulgrew's Liquor Store and Tavern, Bootsie's Tap and Goldie's Tavern, all in East Dubuque. She previously had worked at the former General Dry Battery Factory in Dubuque.

She was born on Feb. 2, 1923, in Chicago. She married Charles M. "Bus" Cole on Aug. 6, 1946; he died on Jan 6, 1960.

She was a member of St. Mary's Parish, and its altar and rosary society; and the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary Post 7976 of East Dubuque.

Surviving are a daughter, Nancy (James) Brokus, of Dubuque; five grandchildren, Jack D. Johnson, Joseph C. Johnson, Lori "Missy" Nadermann, James D. (Tricia) Brokus and Laci A. Brokus; and five great-grandchildren, Ryan and Kaci Nadermann, Ayla and Joseph Johnson and Sara Ann Brokus.
