Sharon R. Boots, 63, of 2225 Kaufmann Ave., died Saturday, July 14, 2007.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Behr Funeral Home, 1491 Main St. Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home where there will be a parish wake service at 3 p.m.

Mrs. Boots was employed at Advanced Data-Comm for 14 years.

She was born on Jan. 29, 1944, in Dubuque, daughter of Leonard and Barbara "Babe" (Ruden) Backes. She married Richard Boots on Sept. 22, 1962, at Holy Ghost Catholic Church.

She was fun loving and enjoyed life to its fullest. Sharon's greatest joy was spending time with her family, especially with her children and grandchildren.

In her spare time, she enjoyed fishing, bingo, going to the dog track, spending time with her dogs and being outside in the sunshine.

Surviving are her husband, Richard Boots, of Dubuque; four sons, Thomas (Iris) Boots of New Albin, Iowa, Michael (Rochelle) Boots of Emerson, Iowa, Pat (Carrie) Boots of Dubuque, and Christopher Boots, of Lansing, Iowa; four daughters, Annette (Larry) Wiemerslage of Dubuque, Karen (Kevin Albrewczynski) Boots, of Greece, N.Y., Tracy (Brian) Kohn of Dubuque, and Terri (Jeff) Sarazin of Dubuque; 10 grandchildren; a great-grandchild; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Leonard and Barbara "Babe" Backes.
