Services for Owen K. Donath, 33, 1550 Fairfax Ave., will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Matthew's Lutheran Church.

Burial will be in Linwood Cemetery, where military rites will be accorded by the American Legion Post 6 of Dubuque. Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. today at Behr Funeral Home, 1491 Main St. Friends may also call after 9:30 a.m. Saturday at the church.

He was born on Dec. 7, 1961, in Dubuque, son of Walter and Virginia (Davis) Donath. He died after a lengthy illness at 6:50 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 5, 1995, at home.

He married Cindy Gregory on March 24, 1985.

He was a lifelong Dubuque resident. He was an Army veteran, having served from 1985-1988.

Surviving are his wife, Cindy (Gregory) Donath; two daughters, Brandy and Sarah Jo Donath, both at home; his mother, Virginia "Sis" Donath, of Dubuque; a sister, Brenda "Susie" Briggs, and four brothers, Rick (and Joyce) Donath, Walter "Beanie" Donath, Jerry (and Mary) Donath and Greg (and Nadine) Donath, all of Dubuque; and 25 nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Walter, on Oct. 16, 1984; and a niece, Kristina Louise Donath, on April 26, 1988.
