EAST DUBUQUE, Ill. - Jeffrey S. Williams, 39, of 831 Scenic Heights Drive, East Dubuque, died at 8:27 a.m. Wednesday, April 30, 2003, at home, from complications of Lou Gehrig's disease.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Miller Funeral Home, East Dubuque, with the Rev. Timothy Jeske officiating. Burial will be in the East Dubuque Cemetery, where there will be a flag presentation by members of American Legion Post 787. Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. today, and after 1 p.m. Saturday, at the funeral home.

Mr. Williams worked as a computer technician at Computer Doctors. He formerly worked at Mercy Medical Center-Dubuque and The Finley Hospital, Dubuque, as an operating room technician, and previously worked at Miller Electric Co.

He was born on Dec. 17, 1963, in Dubuque, son of John and Carole (Loso) Williams.

Jeff loved music, astronomy and photography.

Surviving are his father, John L. Williams (and special friend, Sherri Foht), of East Dubuque; a brother, Aaron (Kelean) Williams, of East Dubuque; a niece, Emily; a nephew, Noah; and his very special aunt, Tee. He will be sadly missed by aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Carole Williams, on Oct. 18, 1993; and his grandparents, Charles "Chuckie" and Clarice Loso and Fred Williams and Christine Walker.

A Jeffrey S. Williams Memorial Fund has been established.
