Marilyn Y. "Bonny" Birch, 64, of 2165 Washington St., died Friday morning, April 25, 2003, at home, of natural causes.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Mary's Catholic Church. Burial will be in Mount Calvary Cemetery. Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. today at Behr Funeral Home, 1491 Main St., where there will be a parish wake service at 3 p.m.

She was born on Sept. 22, 1938, in Dubuque, daughter of Fred and Marion (Norton) Miller.

Bonny attended the former St. Joseph's Academy and then worked at Lorenz Laundry. She had been employed for many years as a dietary aide at Stonehill Care Center. Bonny loved the residents and enjoyed her fellow workers.

She was a member of St. Mary's Parish. Bonny liked to bake and work jigsaw puzzles and collect tigers. She especially loved being with her family and grandchildren.

Surviving are two daughters, Julie A. (Bill) Allen, of Des Moines, and Jodi E. (Chuck) Lewis, of Dubuque; seven grandchildren; two brothers, Gerald (Arlene) Miller, of Warren, Ill., and Steve Miller, of Dubuque; a special aunt, Evelyn Norton, of Dubuque; and nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Carol Jewell.

Memorials may be given to Stonehill Care Center, 3485 Windsor Ave., Dubuque, Iowa 52001.
