Mrs. Agnes Ann Critelli, 71, of 2590 St. Anne Drive, died Monday, April 21, 2003, at home.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Hope Evangelical Free Church, Dubuque. Burial will be in Linwood Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Hoffmann-Schneider Funeral Home, 1640 Main St.

She worked at Mercy Hospitals in Mason City and Dubuque from 1970 to 1995. Most recently, she was the head pediatric nurse at Mercy Medical Center-Dubuque, retiring in 1995.

She was born on Oct. 24, 1931, in Salix, Iowa, daughter of Claude Clement and Ona May (Kidder) Irish. She was the youngest of 13 children. She married Joseph Critelli on June 21, 1952, at St. John's Catholic Church, Des Moines.

She graduated from St. Joseph Academy in Des Moines in 1950 and received her training as a registered nurse from NIACC in Mason City, Iowa, in 1970.

She was a member of American Business Women's Association.

Surviving are her daughters, Christine (Scott) Nicolet, of Round Rock, Texas, Joan Critelli, of Unity, Wis., and Susan (Patrick) McTaggart, of Dubuque; sons, James (Mary) Critelli, of Rocklin, Calif., Timothy Critelli, of San Jose, Calif., and Mark (Marilee) Critelli, of Marshfield, Wis.; grandchildren, Brian Nicolet, Sarah Nicolet, Rachel Critelli, Sofie Critelli, Mikala Critelli, Emily Critelli, Ava Critelli, Claire Critelli, Abbey McTaggart, Ryan McTaggart, Liam McTaggart and Daniel McTaggart; sisters, Vivian Irish and Rosalie Torticill, both of Onawa, Iowa, Fern McCall, of Castana, Iowa, and Betty (Neil) Grimsley, of Tomahawk, Wis.; a brother, Dick Irish, of Castana; and her former husband, Joseph Critelli, of Bella Vista, Ark.

She was preceded in death by two sisters, Claudia Erickson and Frances Loverro; and five brothers, William, Clare, Paul, Clifford and Robert.

An Agnes Ann Critelli Memorial Fund has been established.
