Margaret A. Crahan, 87, of 1794 Delhi St., died at 9:40 a.m. Monday, April 21, 2003, at Bethany Home.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Nativity Catholic Church. Burial will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Key West, Iowa. Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. today at Siegert-Didesch Colonial Funeral Home, 390 N. Grandview Ave., where there will be a Nativity Parish Christian wake service at 4:30 p.m.

She was a bookkeeper for several Dubuque businesses and retired as bookkeeper at Midland Chemical Co.

She was born on March 8, 1916, in Dubuque, daughter of William and Agnes (Ford) Crahan.

She was a graduate of the former Visitation Academy and the Bayless Business College of Dubuque.

She was a member of Nativity Parish.

Surviving are her sister, Evelyn (Robert) Schwegman, of Dubuque; a niece, Suann (Tim) Ryan, of Sacramento, Calif.; two nephews, William (Sue) Schwegman, of Dubuque, and Thomas (Andrea) Schwegman, of Davenport, Iowa; grandnieces, Maura Ryan, of Sacramento, Lee Schwegman, stationed with the Navy in Sasebo, Japan, and Julia Schwegman, of Davenport; and grandnephews, Liam and Casey Ryan, both of Sacramento, Nathan Schwegman, of Springfield, Mo., and Jama Schwegman, of Davenport.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Helen Crahan; and two brothers, John and an infant brother at birth.
