DYERSVILLE, Iowa - Anna Mae Ostwinkle, 96, of Dyersville, died Friday, April 11, 2003, at Mercy Medical Center-Dyersville, after a short illness.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. Francis Xavier Basilica, Dyersville, with the Rev. Ed Petty, officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Monday at Kramer Funeral Home, Dyersville, where there will be a parish scripture service at 4 p.m.
She was born on Feb. 15, 1907, in Dyersville, daughter of Jacob and Anna (Koch) Digman.
She married Alfred C. Ostwinkle on Feb. 1, 1939, in Dyersville. Together they farmed in the Dyersville area. Alfred preceded her in death in 1968, but Anna Mae continued her avocation on the farm.
Surviving are four sons, Leroy, Marvin, Charles (Helen) and Paul (Kay) Ostwinkle, all of Dyersville; five grandchildren, Terry (Tanya) Ostwinkle, of New Vienna, Jennifer (Charles) White, of Earlville, Kristi (Tom) Coyle, of Worthington, Cathy (Steve) Harvey, of Round Hill, Va., and Cindy Ostwinkle of Iowa City; three great-grandchildren, Alexis White, Trae Ostwinkle and Connor Coyle, five sisters-in-law, Catherine Ludwig, of Farley, Margaret Ostwinkle, Del Rose Ostwinkle and Dorothy (Eugene "Ede") Tobin, all of Worthington, and Mary Ostwinkle, of Placid.
She was preceded in death by three sisters, Rose Bertling, Evelyn Willenbring and Theresa Henkels; and a brother in infancy.
