Bonnie "Lavonne" Villhard, 61, of Hermann, Mo., formerly of Dubuque, died Tuesday, March 25, 2003, at home.

Memorial services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Dubuque.

She was born in Dubuque, daughter of Lester and Sally (Schlickman) Butler.

She was active the last thirty years in the restaurant business with her husband. Together they owned and operated Siegfrieds Restaurant in Owensville, Mo., for 16 years. They then went on to open the Wild Grapevine Restaurant in Hermann. She loved working the front of the house and her contact with people.

She fought her battle with cancer until there was no fight left.

Surviving are her husband, Thomas R. Villhard, Sr., of Hermann; her mother-in-law, Audrey Villhard, of Owensville; a daughter, Traci Lampkin, of Gerald, Mo.; a stepson, Thomas R. Villhard, Jr., of St. Louis; three sons, Thomas J. (Terry) Dempsey, of Owensville, Timothy Dempsey, of Hermann, and Terry (Sherri) Dempsey, of Fenton, Mo.; three brothers, James (Betty) Butler, Thomas (Marilyn) Butler and Richard (Sandy) Butler, all of Dubuque; two sisters, Connie (Bob) Kruse and MaryLou (Larry) Fiepel, both of Dubuque; eight grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; and a step-great-granddaughter.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and her father-in-law, William Villhard.

Memorials may be given to the Cancer Society.
