Jeanette Kavanaugh, 89, of 1673 Loras Blvd., died Wednesday, March 26, 2003, at Dubuque Nursing and Rehab Center.

Graveside services and burial will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Mount Olivet Cemetery, Key West, Iowa. There will be no public visitation. The Egelhof, Siegert and Casper Westview Funeral Home, 2659 Kennedy Road, is in charge of arrangements.

She was born on Feb. 12, 1914, in Dubuque, daughter of William and Jane (Cavanaugh) Kavanaugh.

She graduated from Dubuque Senior High School in 1931.

She worked as a cashier and sales lady in various downtown stores, retiring from the former Stampfers in 1979.

Jeanette enjoyed flowers, gardening, crossword puzzles and crocheting.

Surviving are cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Morris; and a sister, Aimee.

Memorials may be given to the Salvation Army and Project Concern.
