Doris Schultz Johnson, 90, formerly of Dubuque, passed away peacefully Tuesday, Feb. 18, 2003, at Fairview Manor, Fairmont, Neb.

Services will be Saturday in Nebraska. The Metz Funeral Home, York, Neb., is in charge of arrangements.

She was born on March 12, 1912, in York, daughter of Anna Melchow and William Rayles.

She married Orville "Bud" Schultz on May 23, 1932; he passed away in 1971.

She later married Van Johnson in 1976; he passed away in 1996.

Surviving are two daughters, Bonnie (Milton) Klepper, of Waco, Neb., and Beverly (Merlyn) Atkinson, of Dubuque; two sons, Orville (Susan) Schultz, of Dublin, Ga., and Michael (Carmen) Schultz, of West Bloomfield, Mich.; 11 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; a brother, William Rayles, of Onyx, Calif.; and two sisters, Ruby Mason, of Gardena, Calif., and Verna Bunderson, of Blackwater, Wis.

She also was preceded in death by five sisters and five brothers.
