Francis P. Mueller, 79, of 308 N. 12th St., Bellevue, Iowa, formerly of Dubuque, died Saturday morning, Feb. 15, 2003, at The Finley Hospital, Dubuque.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Kingery Funeral Home, Bellevue, with the Rev. Stephen Meyer officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Bellevue, where there will be a flag presentation by the Bellevue American Legion Reveille Post 273. Friends may call after 10 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Mr. Mueller retired from John Deere Dubuque Works, where he had been a security guard. He had also operated several different service stations, among them, the Mobil Station in Bellevue.

He was born on July 9, 1923, in Bellevue, son of Xaiver and Frances (Klein) Mueller.

He was a World War II Army veteran. He was a member of the Bellevue American Legion.

Surviving are a sister, Jean Van Drimmelen, of Bellevue; a brother, Albert (Mavis) Mueller, of Annapolis, Md.; and nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
