Sally Ann Long, 65, of ManorCare Health Services, formerly of 2723 LaMotte Drive, died Friday, Feb. 14, 2003, at ManorCare.

Services will be at 3 p.m. today at Egelhof, Siegert & Casper Westview Funeral Home, 2659 Kennedy Road, where friends may call after 1 p.m.

Mrs. Long worked at the Dubuque Inn for more than 20 years and eventually became director of the 62 Plus Club.

She was born on Sept. 29, 1937, in Dubuque, daughter of James and Marguerite (Lauterborn) Lewin. She married Roy J. Long in August 1977, in Illinois.

Sally grew up in Hanover, Ill., where she graduated from high school. She enjoyed fishing, euchre, dancing, bowling and traveling, but the biggest joy in her life was her grandchildren.

Surviving are her husband, Roy J. Long, of Dubuque; three daughters, Jill (Kent) Silbert, of Wheaton, Ill., Megan (Ronald) Wills, of Louisburg, Wis., and Paige Sutton, of Dubuque; and seven grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to the Sally Ann Long Memorial Fund.

The family would like to thank Hospice of Dubuque for all their help.
