Diane K. Ehrlich, 59, of 333 Olympic Heights, died peacefully Wednesday evening, March 19, 2008.

Services will be at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, March 25, at Holy Ghost Catholic Church., with the Rev. Bob Gross officiating. Burial will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Key West, Iowa. Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. Monday at Hoffmann Schneider and Kitchen Funeral Home, 3860 Asbury Road, where there will be a wake service at 7:30 p.m.

Diane worked as a cook for the Dubuque Community School District.

She was born on May 10, 1948, in Dubuque, daughter of Nick and Stella (Hess) Elgin. She married Vincent Ehrlich on Nov. 26, 1971, at St. Clement's Catholic Church in Bankston, Iowa.

She was a member of Holy Ghost Parish.

Surviving are her husband, Vincent Ehrlich, of Dubuque; a daughter, Jennifer (Tyler Rogers) Ehrlich, of Iowa City; three sons, Richard (Kristi Howes) Ehrlich, of Dubuque, Steve (Deanna) Ehrlich, of East Dubuque, Ill., and Jamie (Jessica) Ehrlich, of Sherrill, Iowa; four grandchildren, Isabelle, Avery, Laney and Haylee Ehrlich; eight sisters, Dorothy Elgin, of Dubuque, Sharon (Tom) Ludwig, of Farley, Iowa, Betty (Dave) Ludwig, of Worthington, Iowa, Linda Elgin, of Dubuque, Rose Mary Kruse, of Bankston, Madonna (Danny) Gibbs, of Holy Cross, Iowa, Darlene (Ralph) Kramer, of Farley, and Luanne (Bill) Deutmeyer, of Dyersville, Iowa; and five brothers, Robert (Gladys) Elgin, of Bankston, Donald (May) Elgin, of Worthington, James Elgin, of Dyersville, Marvin Elgin, of Bankston, and Wills (Dot) Elgin, of Worthington.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister and brother-in-law, Grace and Larry Davis; a brother-in-law, Dan Kruse; a sister-in-law, Theresa Elgin; a nephew, Kerry Kruse; and a granddaughter, Brooke Marie Ehrlich.

Diane's family would like to extend a special thank-you to Hospice of Dubuque for the care of Diane.
