Rosemary (Leute) Kuhle

Rosemary "Boots" (Leute) Kuhle, 80, of 2623 Washington St., died at 5 a.m. Sunday, March 9, 2008, at home, after a brief illness.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, March 12, at Holy Ghost Catholic Church. Burial will be in Mount Calvary Cemetery. Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. today at Siegert-Casper Colonial Funeral Home, 390 N. Grandview Ave, where there will be a wake service at 3 p.m.

She was born Jan. 29, 1928, in Dubuque, daughter of Herman and Rose (Weber) Leute.

She married Marcellus "Sal" Kuhle on April 7, 1947; he preceded her in death on Dec. 24, 2000.

She worked at St. Vincent DePaul for 23 years.

Rosemary was a member of Holy Ghost Church for more than 60 years.

She loved playing cards with her family, playing slots, fishing on the Mississippi River and was an avid bingo player.

Surviving are six sons, Tom Kuhle, of East Dubuque, Ill., Mark (Karen) Kuhle, Jack (Diane) Kuhle and Dave Kuhle, all of Dubuque, and Dan (Gail) Kuhle, of Peosta; 13 grandchildren, Jeff, Jamie (Dolly), Brian (Kari) Kuhle, Kandi (fiance, Jon Perry) Kuhle and Kelli (Tommy) Meyer, Jody (Jason) Pfohl, Jenna (fiance, Wesley Felton), and Justin Kuhle, Erika Kuhle, Chris (Molly), and Tony (fiance, Chrissy Data) Kuhle, and Jennifer and Nick Kuhle; nine great-grandchildren; a sister, Delores Becker, of Dubuque; a brother, Norman Leute, of Ark.; and her dog, Booker.

She was preceded in death by her parents; an infant daughter; a son, Curtis; a brother, Leo Greenwood, and a sister, Betty Felderman.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank-you to Hospice of Dubuque, especially Jim and Heather, Home Instead, and Rosie Ries, her neighbor.
